Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday virtually interacted with students from across the country and launched Entrepreneurship cell and Skill Hub a project funded by Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) in different colleges across the country on Sunday. This cell will nurture students to understand the entrepreneurial ecosystem and build their own start-ups.
RUSA a central government scheme is to provide funds for improvement of infrastructure at autonomous educational institutes across the country. Colleges are using these funds to upgrade not only their infrastructure, but to add certificate courses, introduce modules on new subjects and maintain physical structures. From the large funds the colleges are expected to use the grant of Rs 50 lakh sanctioned under the RUSA sceheme for the Entrepreneurship cell.
Before the PM interaction started in colleges with lakhs of students virtually and on social media. Education Ministet Vinod Tawde too interacted with the students of St. Xavier's college where large number of students were present to hear a PM. Tawde in his interaction answered the questions of the students like what is government doing for street children education, can entrepreneur lessons be started from school children etc.
Tawde in his speech at Xavier's College, said, "Because of the launch of this entrepreneurship cell the Xavier's college will be able to help their students to be job givers then job seekers. Students should grab this opportunity from RUSA."
PM in his interaction with the students said that his government is stressing more on skill development. Hence they have launched E-cell and Skill Hub. "We are focusing more on skill development so that our students don't go out for studies and students from outside country too come here for studies." Some student asked PM a question like how education and tourism can come together in order to conserve heritage of some states, some asked PM from where the government will bring large fund that is declared to spend on farmers of this country in recent budget.
