On Tuesday, in Karnataka the Congress legislator R Roshan Baig had hit out at the top leaders of his party, as he was calling them names and also held them directly responsible for the dismal performance which has been predicted by the exit polls.
The Shivaji Nagar MLA while talking to the reporters, had labelled AICC general secretary and Karnataka-in charge K C Venugopal "a buffoon" and said, "I feel sorry for my leader Rahul Gandhi, (Because of) Buffoons like Venugopal, arrogant attitude of Siddaramaiah and flop show of KPCC chief Dinesh Gundu Rao, the result is this."
By making an appeal to the Muslims to "compromise with the situation", "We should not be sacrificed. We should not remain like cattle. We should not become vote bank of one side."
Ruman Baig the son of Roshan Baig, also said in a tweet: "Congress has created a fear psychosis among minorities. They've created a narrative that minorities should feel guilty if they decide to vote for BJP. But in reality, Congress leadership just uses the minority vote bank as a safety cushion."
Baig, also slammed former CM Siddaramaiah during his tenure in the top post as he had "divided" the Hindu society with an attempt to give a separate religion tag to the Lingayat community and had also "abused" the Vokkaliga community.
However, Baig who is holding talks with the BJP, has insisted: "As of now I am in Congress. I have not decided about the future."
