Jagan's Swearing in Ceremony : 5,000 police personnel to be deployed

As many as 5,000 police personnel will provide security for Chief Minister designate Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's swearing in ceremony function.

Traffic diversions and parking slots have been finalised by the police department for the occasion.

Chief Minister designate Jaganmohan Reddy reviewed arrangements for his swearing in ceremony function with Chief Secretary L V Subramanyam at his residence at Tadepalli in Guntur district on Tuesday.

Jagan directed the officials to make arrangements properly. He asked them to provide all basic amenities like drinking water, buttermilk and other facilities.

According to officials, the police department is making special arrangements for the event.

The police would provide special convoy to Governor ESL Narasimhan and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Special entry is being provided to MLAs, MPs, VIPs and other important leaders.

The Armed Reserve Police Parade ground has been allotted for parking of vehicles of MLAs and other people's representatives. The officials and their staff could park their vehicles at the State Guest house and Bishop Azaraiah Public School.

The police department also announced traffic diversion in Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam-Chennai routes on May 30.

The Hyderabad bound vehicles from Visakhapatnam would be allowed through Hanuman Junction-Nuzvid, Vissannapet, Vyra, Khammam and Suryapet.

Similarly Vishkapatnam bound vehicles would be allowed towards Ibrahimpatnam, Mylavaram, Nuzvid and Hanuman Junction.

Besides, Vishaka-Chennai-Vishaka route vehicles would be allowed from Hanuman Junction, Gudiwada, Pammarru, Challapalli, Avanigadda, Baptala, Tenali and Guntur directions.

Similarly Hyderabad-Chennai-Hyderabad route vehicles would be diverted from Narketpalli, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Adivinekkalam, Medarametla and Ongole.

Police officials like Gautam Sawang and Dwaraka Tirumala Rao are monitoring the security arrangements.

Director General of Police R P Thakur also met Jaganmohan Reddy in this regard. But Gautam Sawang who is likely to be appointed as the next DGP has taken the responsibility of looking after security arrangements.
