India's leading telecom company Airtel can command the hands of foreign companies. Singapore-based telecom giant Singtel is preparing to increase its 50-share stake in Airtel. Airtel has sought permission from the government to increase this stake. Actually, Airtel has tied up with Singtel to reduce its debt burden. Singtel already has a 41 per cent stake in Airtel. While the total foreign holding in Airtel is 43 per cent. In such a small investment, the Airtel company will become a foreign-owned company. According to the information given to BSE, Bharti Telecom holds the highest 41% stake in Bharti Airtel. Sunil Mittal and his family hold 52% stake in Bharti Telecom. After the proposed investment, control in Bharti Telecom will reach Singtel. Currently, Bharti Telecom's share of 41% will be foreign. In this case, the total foreign investment in Airtel will be around 85 percent. Airtel has applied for 100% foreign investment approval. The company has said that Bharti Airtel is committed to following all the rules regarding foreign investment.
