Maine kaha tha, 'hamara suryayaan mantralay par safely land karega, tab sab hans rahe the': Sena's Sanjay Raut

A victorious-looking Sanjay Raut, on Wednesday, said that Shiv Sena's 'Suryayaan' (Solar rocket) has landed safely at the Mantralaya and asserted that the 'yaan' will, in future, also land in Delhi.

"Maine kaha tha,'hamara suryayaan mantrale ke chhate manjil par safely land karega', tab sab hans rahe the. Lekin hamare surya yaan ka safe landing hogaya. Aane wale samay mein agar ye surya yaan Delhi mein bhi utre toh aapko aashcharya nahi hoga," Raut was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Raut's comments assume importance on the backdrop of fast-paced political developments in Maharashtra, where the Shiv Sena is back with a bang, backed by the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, who has been projected as the leader of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, is all set to take oath as the state Chief Minister on Thursday.

Raut, who was the key negotiator between Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP in forging the post-poll alliance between the three ideologically different political parties, had vehemently claimed that a 'good news' was expected towards government formation in the state. His claims were contradicted, when, in a late-night manoeuvre, the BJP, backed by Ajit Pawar-led NCP MLAs, formed a government in the state. The move was challenged in the Supreme Court, which, on Tuesday, asked Fadnavis to prove majority through a floor test.

The SC decision was followed by resignations of Pawar and Fadnavis, who claimed that he did not have numbers to form a government in the state.
