Well actor Kamal Haasan has finally said it. Yes, he wants to the Chief Minister for the people of Tamil Nadu. But, will people oblize him and co-actor, Rajnikant, who is also equally ambitious to take a plunge into active politics since quite sometime extend his support?  Are they turn friends to foes?In an interview to the TV channel, India Today, Kamal Haasan said he would prepare a road map before he takes the plunge into politics officially.

“Entering politics would be like donning crown of thorns,” Kamal told the TV channel, on a day that he met Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal. The meeting set off questions about whether he was considering joining the party that captured imagination and power within a short time on an anti-corruption platform.

Kamal himself has been lambasting the Tamil Nadu government led by Edappadi K Palaniswami and calling it corrupt, while telling the people to be wary of all the current crop of politicians in the state.

He had urged the public to bombard ministers with instances of them having had to pay a bribe to get things done.

When India Today asked him what his next move would be, Kamal said, “I must prepare before I take a plunge. I am meeting people and will give them roadmap soon.”

A rationalist who recently met Kerala Chief Minister and Communist Party leader Pinarayi Vijayan, Kamal was asked what his ideology would be in politics. He dismissed any perceived leanings and said, “People concerned are not interested in left or right or any isms. I think if you look at people and their concerns, the isms will find its way.”

The actor who sported a black shirt at the interview said that it was his political color as it contained all thecolours, including saffron.

The actor claimed earlier in the day that he has always been political, having grown up in a political family. At the TV interview he stressed, “I became political the first time I voted in an election.”

On what to expect from him as a political leader, he promised the start of the process of change but told the public to have patience, as there are no swift remedies, only the long haul.
