Reiterating that the YSRC will come to power in a year, Leader of the Opposition and YSRC chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that he would fulfil all the promises made to public after assuming office.
On the sixth day of his ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra’ in the Kadapa district, the YSRC chief alleged that the inefficiency of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in completing the Rajoli project mooted by the late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy has led to non-release of water to KC canal from Srisailam project, despite the project brimming with water.
While interacting with weavers at Amrutha Nagar in Proddatur town, Reddy assured them to take their suggestions and put them in the YSRC election manifesto and extend them all help after coming to power. He said that there are 1.5 lakh weavers in the district and regretted that most of them are earning a paltry `200 per day. The bankers were hesitating to extend loans, forcing the weavers to go from pillar to post for the same. Stating that the GST crippled the handloom sector, the weavers appealed the YSRC chief to rescue them.
In another meeting, Jagan assured to bring reforms in the education sector. The YSRC would take up Amma Vodi programme to provide education to the poor children. He assured to disburse `15,000 to each school student as scholarship, if voted to power. He also assured to disburse the fees of engineering students and assured to give another `20,000 as mess charges.
