Now It’s Official: Parliament’s Winter Session To Be Held From Dec 15 To Jan 5

(Online Desk)

The Parliament’s Winter Session will be held from December 15 to January 5, the panel on parliamentary affairs announced on Friday.

Ananth Kumar, parliamentary affairs minister said, “This will be a 14-day session. December 25th and 26th will be Christmas holidays.”

PM Narendra Modi led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has been on Opposition’s target for ‘deliberately’ delaying the dates.

Earlier this week Congress president Sonia Gandhi had launched a scathing attack on the Centre over the Winter Session.

The leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad also slammed the government for allegedly shying away from facing questions in the Winter Session ahead of Gujarat assembly elections in December.

Azad said the government was deliberately delaying the session to hide its corruption and failures on the employment and economic fronts.
