Apssdc in association with tribal welfare department, ITDA  established  training cum  production centres in select tribal areas, so that Skilled  youth would get gainful employment locally.

In Visakhapatnam – Paderu area with the help of local training partners the following centres are established

 Honeybee Cultivation:
30 tribal youth are trained in honey bee cultivation and also helped  in establishing production centre at Chintapalli Mandal Tarjingi Village.

Wood Turning Artisan
30 Tribal youth are trained and production cum marketing centre is established at Araku a busy tourist location

Terracotta Toys Making:  
30 candidates are skilled and The production cum marketing centre has been established at Araku..

Multigrain Biscuits Making:
30 Tribal youth are trained  and production cum marketing centre has been established at Araku.

we are also planning to skill 30 Tribal youth in Jeeluga Jaggery Making and establish Production center which is seasonal

Local production cum training centers established by tribal youth run by them for gainful income locally, an  initiated by APSSDC is yielding good results.

Such initiatives are planned in other tribal areas on need base so as to create wealth locally.
