Jammu, Seven out of the eight persons who tested positive on Friday in Srinagar district are part of a religious congregation and they belong to Kerala.
"Today's positives include 7 members of a religious congregation who were traced, and isolated on March 27. Just proves that a determined tracking works. Appeal please cooperate", government spokesman, Rohit Kansal tweeted.
Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Srinagar DM said, "8 Covid +ve in #Srinagar today sounds panicky, but it's not. This is a classic 'tracing success story. Please help report".
Sources said the seven persons who tested positive today had come here with a local Tablighi Jamaat member who also tested positive today.
The total number of positive cases today crossed 200 in J&K as the number shot to 207.
Out of these, 39 are in Jammu division while 168 are in Kashmir division.
