Jaipur, The total number of coronavirus cases in Jaipur on Sunday crossed the 300-mark and touched 336 as Rajasthan recorded 96 new positive cases in the state, including 36 in Jaipur. With this the total tally in Rajasthan now has gone up to 796, said additional chief secretary Rohit Kumar Singh.
Tonk tested 11 new positive patients, taking the total number of corona cases to 58 which is the second highest in the state.
Similarly, 15 patients tested positive in Banswara, taking this small town's tally to 52 which is the third highest in Rajasthan. The major worry here is that six kids have also been found Covid-19 positive.
Tonk and Banswara have emerged as major hotspots in the last few days.
Jodhpur had 8 new cases on Sunday which took the total count to 51 which ranks fourth in the state, Singh added.
In Kota, seven new cases were reported which took the total number of corona patients here to 40 which is the fifth highest. Nagaur had 5 new cases and the total here goes up to 6.
Hanumangarh became the 25th district in the state to report two new cases in the district for the first time, said Singh.
Bikaner had eight new cases while Churu, Jaisalmer and Sikar had one each testing positive on Sunday, he added further.
Ajmer has five cases, Alwar (7), Bharaput (9), Bikaner (34), Churu (12), Dausa (8), Dholpur (1), Dungarpur (5), Jaisalmer (29), Jhunjhunu (31), Jodhpur (51), Karauli (3), Pali and Sikar (2 each), Udaipur(4), Pratapgarh (2), Nagaur (6), Kota (40), Jhalawar (14) and Barmer had one corona patient till Sunday.
The good news is that 121 patients have turned from positive to negative, while 63 have been discharged, said Singh adding that 28505 samples have been tested out of which 2559 samples are under process.
