Bengaluru, Thirteen contacts of earlier Covid patients are among the 15 new cases reported in Karnataka, taking the state's total to 247, an official said on Monday.
"Till date, 247 Covid positive cases have been confirmed. This includes six deaths and 59 discharges," said a health official.
As many as 59 cases from the 247 cases have been discharged from the designated hospitals across the state, with Bengaluru Urban recording the highest discharges at 27, followed by others.
Of the 15 new cases which surfaced in the past 19 hours, 10 were men and five women.
Four new cases which emerged on Monday are contacts of the 194th case from Hubballi, Dharwad.
Karnataka's 233rd Covid positive case is a 55-year-old woman from Hubballi, a contact of the 194th case.
Similarly, a 36-year-old man from the same place with a similar contact history is the 234th case.
Next, a 74-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man with a similar history are the 235th and 236th cases respectively.
A 60-year-old woman from Malavalli, Mandya is the 237th case. She is the mother of the 179th case.
Likewise, the 8-year-old daughter of the 179th case is the 238th case.
An 18-year-old boy, nephew of the 179th case is the 239th case.
A 27-year-old man from Mudhol, Bagalkot, is the 240th case; he is a contact of the 164th case.
The state's 241st case is a 16-year-old girl from Bidar. She is the niece of the 211th case.
Similarly, a 35-year-old woman from the same place is the 242nd case, daughter of the 211th case.
A 20-year-old man from Raibag, Belagavi is the 243rd case. He is the contact of the 149th case.
A 14-year-old boy and a 45-year-old man from the same place and a similar contact history are the 244th and 245th cases respectively.
A 39-year-old man from Doddaballapura, Bengaluru Rural with a travel history to Delhi is the 246th case.
The last case for Monday morning and the 247th case is a 62-year-old man with Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) medical condition.
