Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma hosted a grand reception in New Delhi Thursday night at the Durbar Hall of the Taj Diplomatic Enclave in Chanakyapuri area.  It is mainly being hosted for family members and friends who weren’t able to make it to their wedding in Italy.

For the event, they were both dressed in designer Sabyasachi ensembles, just like their wedding attire. Virat wore his favourite, a black sherwani, while Anushka looked resplendent in a traditional red Banarasi saree with gold jewellery.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for tonight’s reception.

Virat Kohli and Anushka  tied the knot in Tuscany, Italy on December 11. It was a private, family affair with less than 50 guests. Apart from the wedding, their mehendi function and engagement ceremony was also held in Italy.

The Delhi reception will see politicians and Delhi-based cricketers while the Mumbai event – to be held on December 26 – will have film stars and businessmen in attendance.
