New Delhi: Top seeded Indian shuttler PV Sindhu shrugged off a second-game lapse to beat eighth seed Beatriz Corrales and reach the women's singles semifinals of the India Open, here today.
Sindhu, world number four, defeated her Spanish rival 21-12 19-21 21-11 in the quarterfinals.
It took Sindhu 35 minutes to down her rival, ranked 36, in the world.
Sindhu will next take on Thai third seed Ratchanok Intanon, who knocked out seventh seed Yip Pui Yin 21-11 21-11 in her last-eight clash.
