Well-known novelist and dramatist in Sanskrit, Kolachalama Yagnanaraya Dixitulu, passed away on Saturday.
He was 93. He was ailing with old age problems since quite some time.
He leaves behind wife, three daughters and a son.
Several well-wishers of the family, including the Chief Public Relations Officer to Chief Minister of Telangana state, Jwala Narasimha Rao and senior journalist Bhandaru Srinivasa Rao, expressed their condolences, besides paying their floral tributes.
Late Dikshitulu’s son Surya Kolachalama, is a well-known entrepreneur in advertising world heading Surya Ad Systems. He also recently unveiled websites – www.yuvnews.com – simultaneously in English and Telugu.
Deekshitulu penned several novels in Sanskrit and also translated famous novel of love story between rich and affluent Moghul King Salim with poor, but beautiful Anarkali from other languages, which help him win accolades. His another transcript “Lavangi’ also won hearts of many bookworms. Apart from these, his lone Telugu novel ‘Satyabhama’ also brought him name and fame, as writer, novelist and dramatist.
