The Parliament witnessed a stormy start on Monday, as the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) along with the YSR Congress Party will push for a no-confidence motion against the Modi government in Lok Sabha, following its exit from the alliance.

Y V Subba Reddy of the YSR Congress has written to the Lok Sabha secretariat to put his notice for the motion in the revised list of business for today. On Friday, the no-confidence notice was received by the Lok Sabha speaker, Sumitra Mahajan. However, she said the motion cannot be brought to the House if it is not in order and adjourned the House till Monday.

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrasebabu Naidu decided to quit the NDA on March 16, days after two Union ministers from the state resigned from the BJP government following the Centre's refusal to grant Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.
