In a shocking move, Congress today said that the Supreme Court's dismissal of petitions seeking an SIT probe into Justice Loya's death case marks a sad day in India's history.
Senior Congress leader Randeep S Surjewala remarked, "The verdict marks a sad day in India's history. The Supreme Court verdict has left many questions unanswered. There were discrepancies in the post-mortem report, even in recording the name of the victim properly."
Senior Lawyer and Congress leader Salman Khurshid was much more sensible when he said that while many people would be deeply disappointed, this is the Supreme Court & if Supreme Court takes a view, one has to accept it and respect it .
