Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha, who was the Former Finance minister of India today quit BJP and also said he was taking Sanyas from politics.
The reason he gave for doing so was the condition of hte BJP. "I am quitting the BJP because of the party's condition. As you have already seen the recent Parliament session - it was the shortest session in the history" he said.
He further added that he would try to unite all non-BJP parties "I will not join any political party and will have nothing to do with party-politics. I am not an aspirant for any top post and I am making it clear here that I am not at all interested to seek any post," he added.
Things began to sour after he was marginalized with in the party by Modi and Shah after 2004.The move was largely expected after Yashwant Sinha's constant criticism of the BJP in the last few years.
In related news, Shatrughan Sinha has said that he wouldn't quit the party.
