In a shocking incident,several people fell ill in Rajasthan’s Churu district after an unnamed foreign-based pharma company allegedly tested its medicines on these people, instead of animals. All the victims belonged to Bidasar village and were sent to Jalpani Hospital.
A victim said that the company lured them by paying Rs 500 to each person. “We came here on April 18 and it is been three days. 16 out of 21 people are suffering from it and are admitted to the hospital” he said. Another victim he felt drowsy after consuming the medicine.
Rajasthan's Health Minister Kali Charan Saraf gave the following comment on the matter :
“This is a very serious matter. We have assigned officials to the case and will look into it. Strict action will be taken against those responsible”.
