Bengal has been on the boil ever since Ram Navami and the violence again continued as preparation for The West Bengal Panchayat Election came underway. With the Calcutta High Court putting a fresh date for filing of nominations on Monday, violence resumeed expectedly.
Clashes have been reported in Asansol, while a BJP worker was killed in Birbhum in clashes with TMC. TMC too claimed that the deceased was their worker and the confusion has still remains.
Many teacher unions and University unions are up in arms against the Government after it issued guidelines forbidding teachers from moving a civil court if they are not satisfied with inquiries conducted by a college or university. The teachers plan to challenge this rule in court before it comes into effect.
