Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah was caught confessing in an interview, when he said that Lingayat's "were coming under the Hindu this thing only":

'See, Lingayat religion is given minority tag. But it comes under Hindu thing only'.

CM @siddaramaiah, who declared Lingayats as not being Hindu, admitting sheepishly on camera that Lingayats belong to Hindu fold.

This is a major embarrassment for Siddaramaiah who earlier tried to give a minority religion status to Lingayats for electoral gain.
