Indian National Congress organised the ‘Jan Akrosh’ rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi. While addressing the rally, Congress President attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government. He questioned why the country’s “chowkidar” was silent on issues of corruption and weakening of institutions. He asked why the PM Modi did not speak a word on the judge BH Loya and worsening conditions of farmers. He also raised fingers at Modi’s China visit. "Modi ji did not speak a single word on Doklam during his visit to China. What kind of prime minister is he," asked Congress scion. "Prime Minister Modi gave unemployment, 'Gabbar Singh Tax' (GST), BJP MLA inflicted atrocities on women (Unnao rape case) in his tenure," Gandhi added. He blamed BJP of fanning communal violence against minorities and Dalits. He claimed that his party united all sections of society and spread love in 70 years unlike the BJP. He exuded confidence that the Congress would vanquish the BJP in upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Taking a dig at BJP for sidelining his senior party leaders like Yashwant Sinha, LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, Raul said that Congress respects its veteran leaders.
