Rahul Gandhi's statement 'unacceptable and irresponsible,' says Ravi Shankar Prasad

Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s statements, BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad has said that they were was ‘unacceptable and irresponsible.’ Congress President while at a rally in Raipur compared the current situation in the country to that of Pakistan. Gandhi said, “An environment of fear and insecurity is prevailing in the country...RSS is making its way into all institutions in the country. Such things happen in countries like Pakistan or dictatorships.”

Rahul referred to the Justice Loya case case where foul play was alleged over his death in Nagpur in December 2014. The Supreme Court on April 19 dismissed the petitions seeking an independent probe Judge Harkishan Loya's mysterious death.

Speaking to Times Now, senior BJP leader and Union Law minister said Congress President has “crossed the limit of decency in his desperation after failing to rob the mandate” and nothing better is expected of him.  He reminded Congress President that respecting the mandate (in an election) was part of the democratic process.

Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s statement on Justice Loya alleged murder case, Prasad said Gandhi has nothing to stay on the defeat of his party and is raising a matter on which the Supreme Court has already ruled. He said Rahul Gandhi leads a defeated party which cannot set the national agenda through litigations.
