Soon after the Prime Minister accepted cricketer Virat Kohli’s fitness challenge, he has a new one lobbed at him, this time from Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and Leader of the Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav. Yadav has ‘urged’ PM Narendra Modi to accept his challenge of providing jobs to the youth, no violence against Dalits and minorities and relief for farmers. He says, “While we have nothing against accepting fitness challenge from @imVkohli . I urge you to accept the challenge to provide jobs to young, relief to farmers, promise of no violence against dalits & minorities. Would you accept my challenge @narendramodi Sir?”

Modi had accepted Kohli’s challenge earlier in the day. Kohli had been challenged by Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore who posted a fitness video of himself and exhorted fellow Indians to get fit. He wrapped it up by tagging Kohli, Sania Mirza and Hrithik Roshan. Kohli went on to tag Modi, his wife Anushka Sharma and colleague MS Dhoni.

Tejashwi has been very active on social media and has been tweeting on current issues. He had attacked Modi on Wednesday too over the steep rise in petrol and diesel prices. In a Facebook post, he had said: “Under the impressive captaincy of Modi ji, prices of petrol and diesel are close to hitting centuries in the oil game. Tears in the eyes of viewers, silence in the stadium.”
