Ever since Kevin’s dead body was found in a river in the Kollam district on Monday, questions regarding the phenomenon of honour killing have once again made their presence felt on a national stage. According to media reports, a gang of five people allegedly abducted Kevin on Monday on the behest of Neenu’s relatives. While initial reports suggested that the victim may have died due to drowning, a large crowd gathered outside Kottayam medical college hospital on Tuesday when a post-mortem was being conducted on Kevin’s body by medical examiners.
