Asserting that the BJP has fulfilled 85% of the promises made at the time of bifurcation, its State president Kanna Lakshminarayana says the TDP, under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, is trying to damage the reputation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing the media here on Wednesday, Mr. Lakshminarayana said the BJP cadre would no longer be silent. They would soon highlight the facts, he said.
Mr. Naidu had taken a U-turn on the Special Category Status (SCS) issue fearing loss of ground to the YSRCP and the JSP, which had been firm on the special tag to the State, he said.
Mr. Lakshminarayana listed the developmental activities initiated by the Centre in the State, and said those remaining on the agenda would be completed soon.
He said the BJP would go it alone in the 2019 elections and retain power as people have faith in the leadership of Narendra Modi.
