Pakistan's shocking Ramzan offensive: 10 grenade attacks in four days in Jammu and Kashmir leave 16 injured

A day after terrorists lobbed grenades in different parts of Srinagar injuring four civilians and four CRPF troops, another grenade attack was reported at Batapora Chowk of South Kashmir’s Shopian district. A police vehicle was targeted and eight people were injured, said ANI. Retaliatory shots were fired by the police. 

Some civilians might have been injured in the attack but it remains unconfirmed. The number of injured in the recent spate of attacks in the valley now stands at 16.   Meanwhile, a dramatic CCTV footage  shows a CRPF vehicle being targeted with a grenade injuring one jawan, but the brunt of the attack was borne by the armoured vehicle.   

Eight people were injured in three separate grenade attacks across Srinagar on Saturday. The militant outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) claimed the responsibility for the attacks, according to IANS. Three CRPF troopers and three civilians, including a woman, were injured when the Fateh Kadal area of the old city of Srinagar was targeted.
