The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to stay release of Rajinikanth-starrer Kaala which is scheduled to hit the screens on June 7.

“You want an injunction against the release of the movie. Everybody is waiting for the film to be released,” the bench told the counsel appearing for the petitioner.
Rajashekaran claimed that his copyright work was used by the producer without prior permission without prior permission. The top court said if the petitioner is the original copywriter he is entitled to damages, which he should claim from the high court.
The petitioner had approached the Supreme Court against the May 16 order of the Madras High Court which has posted his plea against the release of the movie for hearing on June 16.
