Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who has been admitted to Delhi's All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will remain in hospital for now, a latest health bulletin issued by the top hospital said on Tuesday. Vajpayee, 93, is said to be suffering from urinary tract infection. A team of top doctors is keep a tab on Vajpayee's health in the hospital. A battery of leaders, including PM Narendra Modi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi met the ailing former PM at AIIMS on Monday.
"His condition is stable. He is responding to treatment and is on injectable antibiotics. All his vital parameters are stable. He will continue to be in hospital till infection is controlled," AIIMS said in a statement.
