A level-II fire engulfed top floor of BeauMonde tower in Worli area of Mumbai on Wednesday. Four fire tenders are present at the spot trying to control the blaze. No one has been injured in the fire which broke out on the top floor of the building. Over 90 people have been rescued safely, reports said.
The 33-storey high-rise building is home to several famous personalities, including Bollywood star Deepika Padukone. She had purchased the flat along with her father Prakash Padukone.
The actual cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
At least 10 fire tenders, 5 jumbo tankers, 2 hydraulic platforms are on the spot for rescue operations.
Last Saturday, a massive fire broke out in Mumbai's Fort area in which two firefighters were injured. A part of Patel Chambers building had collapsed following the fire.
