Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday raised the demand for reservation for Dalits in minority-run institutions like Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi. Calling on all those “concerned for Dalits” he said that if institutions like Banaras Hindu University (BHU) can give Dalit quota then why not minority-run institutes like AMU and Jamia?
“One question should be raised to all those who are saying that Dalits are being humiliated … when would they asked for reservation for our Dalit brothers in Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia,” he said at a public meeting in Kannauj. Yogi Adityanath also said that Rahul Gandhi has inherited politics.
"We have moved ahead in politics through sheer struggle. Rahul behaves like an yuvraj, while we see politics as a medium of service," he said.
“Four generations of his ancestors never wore a janeu (sacred thread). When Rahul Gandhi realised the true strength of India, he started remembering temples,” claimed the chief minister.
The CM targeted the Congress for being soft on terrorists and alleged that the party supported terrorism. The UP Chief Minister also accused the Congress president and other Congress leaders of trying to demotivate the Indian Army by questioning its bonafide acts.
Adityanath slammed the Congress for questioning the Indian Army. “When the Army guns down the terrorists, Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders raise questions against the Army. When our commandoes carried out the surgical strikes the Congress leaders questioned that as well,” the CM said.
