“We don't claim to be angels. We are as good or as bad as Lahore, Delhi or Karachi Police. We are dealing with worst terrorism unleashed by evil forces,” is the message a Jammu and Kashmir police officer has given to trolls after being targeted on social media for tweeting about a documentary on the state police force. The documentary film highlights the policemen’s pain and suffering in the face of an organised militancy in the state.
Cop Imtiyaz Hussain’s message to Twitter users to spare some time and watch the film attracted trolls on Twitter, who went after him and responded by tweeting a documentary by Britain’s Channel 4 that talks about alleged human rights abuses in the state.
Imtiyaz, in his response, described the Channel 4 documentary as “nothing but a propaganda piece”. He said the girl, who claimed in the documentary that her brother was killed by the Indian Army, had admitted before him later that she had lied and was paid Rs 50,000 for the same. Imtiyaz said the girl’s brother was killed by Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists who had later surrendered before the police.
We don't claim to be angels. We are as good or as bad as Lahore,Delhi or Karachi Police. We are dealing with worst terrorism unleashed by evil forces. No police force in the world has dealt this kind of proxy terror war with such maturity and steadfastness.

Slamming those who had been trolling him as well as the J&K police, the cop wrote: “No police force in the world has dealt this kind of proxy terror war with such maturity and steadfastness.”
He highlighted the fact that sponsored and paid campaign was underway to malign the state police that had been fighting against terrorism in the Valley along with the Indian Army and paramilitary forces.
The kind & amount of propaganda unleashed by career propagandists against @JmuKmrPolice has no parallel in history, not even agitprop of erestwhile USSR matches it. Every word spoken & written against us is sponsored and paid for.
