Karunanidhi has passed on 7 th August in the evening in Chennai's Kauvery hospital and he was laid to rest at Marina beach yesterday. The Tamilians who are fond of their leader along with DMK followers are in grieve with the demise of this leader who was in politics for about eight decades. Vijaykanth who also came to politics through films is also one of the important leaders of Tamil Nadu and he got emotional speaking about Karunanidhi.
