After unwinding himself in the scenic landscape of Italy, Akshay Kumar returned from his family vacation only to be welcomed by uncalled turn of events. The actor who is currently shooting for Housefull 4 has decided to cancel it after fresh allegations surfaced against director Sajid Khan. The production house which continued to shoot despite sexual harassment allegations against one of its actors Nana Patekar is now on its toe.

A source close to the production house informed Hindustan Times that allegations against Sajid and Patekar are too grave to be ignored. ''Akshay is known to be a disciplinarian and has never canceled a shoot in his 28-year career. This is the first time that he has decided to cancel a shoot, perhaps because the #Metoo movement just cannot be ignored. The allegations made against Sajid Khan and Nana Patekar are both serious and grave in nature,'' said the source.

 Another report even states that Sajid Khan has stepped down as the director of Housefull 4 after a meeting with Akshay and producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

When Housefull 4 team continued to shoot despite Tanushree Dutta's allegations against veteran actor Nana Patekar, the former beauty queen slammed Farah Khan and Akshay Kumar. Reports even say that Patekar shot his scenes amidst high security. 

Adding to the spate of allegations against popular faces in Bollywood in ongoing #MeToo movement, three women- actor Rachel White, assistant director Saloni Chopra and journalist Karishma Upadhyay came up with their stories. The ladies revealed how they were harassed by Khan.

On a related note, Sajid Khan has earlier directed Humshakals, Himmatwala and Heyy Baby. As far as Housefull 4 is concerned, 70 % of the shoot has been completed in London and Jaisalmer. The movie features Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda among others.
