Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Sunday attacked the Congress party in the poll-bound Madhya Pradesh and said the grand old party is an “ATM of false promises”.
His comments came just hours after PM Narendra Modi said that “Cheating is in the blood of the Congress.”
“The Congress party is an ATM of false promises, whichever question you may insert instantly there will be a false promise in return. But BJP is an ATM of growth and development,” said Shah in Churhat.
Earlier in the day, Modi attacked the Congress party in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, and said that the people are “tired” of grand old party’s “false promises”.
“Chhindwara is tired of Congress' false promises. They have faith in BJP,” he said at a rally.
The state is all set to go for polls on November 28. Counting of votes will take place on December 11.
On Sunday, in Chhattisgarh too PM attacked the Congress party. He urged people to vote the BJP to power for a fourth straight term in the state.
Addressing an election rally on the last day of campaigning for the second phase of Assembly polls, Modi attacked the Congress for "lying, misleading and defrauding" the country for 50 years and "destroying" four generations of people through their misrule.
In his nearly 45-minute speech, Modi dedicated most of his time attacking the Congress and the Nehru-Gandhi family and elaborated how his government, since 2014, has ushered in all-round development across the country.
