At least four people were killed and 11 others were injured in an explosion near Army depot in Pulgaon area of Wardha district in Maharashtra.

The explosion took place while officials were disposing of a bomb near Sonai village in Dewali town.

"Explosion took place near ordnance depot while disposing of old explosives," said Defence official.

The explosion has created a panic situation among the people residing in the area.

A worker of the ordinance factory and two civilians are among those killed.
