The Congress party on Tuesday lashing out at the KCR government after Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Working President Revanth Reddy was taken into preventive custody for his alleged threat to disrupt caretaker Chief Minister's election rally.
K Chandrashekar Rao is scheduled to address a rally in Kodangal constituency’s Kosgi.
Section 144 has been imposed in the region as Tension prevailed after Reddy was picked up from his residence.
Lashing out at the KCR, Congress leader and Karnataka minister DK Shivkumar said, " It's highly condemnable that Telangana Police arrested Congress Working President & Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy at 3 am today because CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao is holding a rally there."
Shivkumar also appealed to EC that such intimidation goes against the spirit of free and fair elections.
Party leader Manish Tewari demanded that the Election Commission 'dismiss those responsible'.
"This is REVOLTING. Revanth Reddy MLA & Working President of TPCC picked up at 3 AM? Is he a terrorist? EC should recommend dismissal of the people responsible," Tewari said.

The Congress leader also said that he will take it up in the Presser at 12 noon at PCC Office in Hyderabad.
