Kapil Dev and cricketer Srikkanth are best friends. So, Srikkanth's role is going to play a vital role in Kapil Dev's biopic. As per the latest reports, the makers planned to rope in Vijay Devarakonda to play the role of Srikkanth in the movie. So, Vijay Devarakonda is going to turn as a cricketer in Kapil Dev biopic. Interestingly, Vijay marked his Tollywood debut by playing the role of a famous cricketer in 'Nuvvila' movie directed by Ravi Babu.

On the other hand, Vijay Deverakonda has a lineup of projects. He is currently shooting for his upcoming movie 'Dear Comrade' with Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead.
