Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao, who has embarked on a tour to cobble up the Federal Front which is bereft of the BJP or the Congress, has said along with other leaders of the Opposition, he will soon come out with a plan for the Front.
In the last few days, KCR has met Odisha CM and BJD chief Naveen Patnaik as well as Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. On Monday, KCR hinted the two leaders will help in cobbling up the Federal Front, and that they are all part of a discussion together, and a decision will be taken soon.
Next in KCR's meeting list is BSP supremo Mayawati, which political observers feel could be a 'game-changer', and SP leader Akhilesh Yadav. KCR, whose Telangana Rashtra Samithi clocked in a resounding victory in the recent Assembly elections, is now focusing on national politics. He hopes a Third Front will bring in dividends in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as projections indicate that both Congress and BJP are unlikely to get the numbers to form the government.
