If there is no 'Modi Sarkar' in 2019, there will be anarchy: Prakash Javadekar

If there is no 'Modi Sarkar' in 2019, there will be anarchy: Prakash Javadekar

Mocking opposition parties' rally in Kolkata on Saturday, Union Human Resources Development (HRD) minister Prakash Javadekar stated that the opposition came together against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi but they do not have his alternative.

"The present situation in the country is such that if there is no Modi, there will be anarchy," Javadekar said.

Javadekar slammed the opposition leaders who took part in the United India rally at Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata.

He said, "The rally showed opposition's nervousness. They came together and formed a committee on EVM but did not form any committee for a manifesto or common minimum program. It is clear that they are already trying to find an excuse for their possible defeat."

Javadekar said that opposition parties may be coming together against PM Modi but they do not have the leadership to challenge him. "The only aim of the opposition parties is to drag Modi out of power but they do not have alternative to Modi. If there is no Modi, there will be anarchy in the country," he said.

The BJP leader also stated that the people of the country will be choosing between the strong and weak government in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

"The elections will be fought on the issue of strong and weak government. In the past, people have suffered during weak goverments such as under Indrakumar Gujral and Chandrashekhar. On the other hand, they have seen benefits of strong and policy-driven government in the form of Modi government. I am sure, they will again go for the stronger government in coming elections," he said.

Javadekar also stated that the party is confident of getting more seats and more votes in the upcoming general elections. He said, "We will significantly increase our tally in West Bengal, Odisha and the North-East."

BJP will be rolling out various campaigns ahead of the general election. Javadekar said, "As part of one of our campaigns, we will be appealing BJP voters to hoist party's flag on top of their residences to show support for the party."
