The Election Commission (EC) of India, responding to the claims of the US-based ‘expert’ of EVM tampering said that the machines are foolproof and the commission is currently analysing what legal action to be taken regarding the press conference in London.
Syed Shuja, a US-based cyber expert who claims he was a part of the team which designed Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) used in India, alleged that the 2014 general elections in India were rigged.
Shuja held a press conference in London making several explosive claims regarding alleged EVM tampering during the 2014 elections, state elections and the deaths of Union Minister Gopinath Munde and journalist Gauri Lankesh.
Shuja, who addressed the meet via a video conference, claimed that he was attacked a few days ago.
Congress leader Kapil Sibal was also present at the event.
